Biography
Win is a Junior Doctor at Southend University Hospital (SUH) currently working as a Foundation year 2 doctors within AMU. Aside from her core role, Win is actively involved in the education of her fellow medical students, providing tutoring and mentorship to those around her. To date, she has involved in 2 QIPs including: (1) an audit of CFS adoption and its role in elderly patient care; and (2) Introduction of CAP care bundle sticker by improving usability and adoption of the CURB 65 score for patients with Community Acquired Pneumonia. Before joining SUH, Win worked both as a medical officer at Sakura Private General Hospital, and as a Civil Medical Officer in the Ministry of Health and Sports back in her homeland Myanmar. It was in Myanmar that she found her passion for medicine, after completing her M.B.B.S at the University of Medicine, Mandalay; and later undertaking a foundation year 1 program at a General Hospital operating 1000 beds for patients.
