Biography
Rebecca Karimu Mtambo Holds Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health. She has also University Certificate in Global Health by university of Washington and Certificate in Strengthening Community Health Worker Programs by Harvard University. Rebecca is the National Drug resistance Tuberculosis mentor, trainer and national supervisor. She is the TB/HIV supervisor, Infection Prevention and Control Trainer of Trainer and the supervisor. Rebecca Karimu had worked in the busy DRTB referral centre in Malawi called Bwaila Hospital from 2015 to 2020. She is the Zonal Tuberculosis supervisor at the Quality Management Central West Zone comprising of four districts. She has attended over 12 national and 5 International conferences. One of her abstract titled “Adverse Effects of Linezolid among MultiDrug Resistance TB Patients in Malawi’ was published in international Journal of Clinical and Respiratory Diseases and Care: Open Access (HILARIS). Rebecca Karimu is the Public health activist and Influencer who specializes public health issues through her Public face book page, Interviews, supervisions, mentorships and dialogues.
